I have been busy.

I just wanted to say sorry to those who read my blog. I know it has been over a week since my last post.... Reasons why you can read here if you want.

But lets just say I have been pretty busy due to my new dog, among other things.

But I promise I will try and get this story done. It has gone on a lot longer then planed. And I'm ready to move on.

Invitation Accepted.

Well, this is the Martian Manhunter here. I was invited to Heroes United and accepted the invitation. I guess I'll tell the origin of how I thought of doing my blog. Well, when the Dial B For Blog message board became attatched to Boardhost it asked for my "secret identity". Besides Robby I think I was the first poster (interesting, besides the admin, Boba Fett, I was the first poster here too.) so I didn't know what to say. On the spur of the moment I decided on J'onn J'onzz and thus was born my fictional character. Soon I became a member of the Comic Book Resources board (in order to talk to Len Wein) and used the same name there (thanks for informing me of it, Brian Cronin!). And next was my expansion to Toonzone. Having seen and loved the absorbascon and other blogs (such as the Hulk's and Dave's long box) I decided the next logical step was to make one using my fictional name. I never realized how hard doing these are. Okay, that's all.

New Team Blog!

With the recent announcement of the hiatus of Master Yoda's blog and Grievous/Rage's blog, as well as the new "reality show" ideas posted by Jon and Jango, it seems that we're all looking for some inspiration and fresh ideas. I am no exception. Therefore, I have just launched a new blog called "Dex in the City." This is a team blog and I hope you will all join in.

Q & A:

1. What's the purpose of this new blog?
The premise is that this is Dex's Diner and anyone can stop in and share a story, post an excerpt to promote their blog, or just gossip or vent about anything. I want this blog to be a "jumping off" point that will link to all the other sci-fi bloggers. I won't be linking to the profiles - I'll be linking to your actual blogs.

2. What are the rules?
I'd like everyone to post in character. You can post just about anything you want. "In character" doesn't mean you can't blog about whatever you want. For example, as Padme, I might blog about something cool I bought or a TV show or song I like - and these can be real items. Dex might also occasionally post links to really great blog posts or sci-fi news that might be of interest to us all. I know it sounds confusing, but basically you can post anything as long as you are speaking as your character and not saying things like, hey I'm going on vacation and won't be blogging for awhile. That is what Unplugged is for.

3. Who can join?
All sci-fi bloggers, not just the Star Wars universe. If you want to participate, email me and I'll send you an invite. Also, can one of the unplugged admins send me an invite for Dex to Dex.Diner@gmail.com - thanks!

4. Hey, you hardly ever update your Padme blog and now you're starting a new one? What's up with that?
Ah, a little-known quirk in my personality. I love to START things. I love to organize, develop, create, get it off the ground. I have too many ideas for my own good. I'm really excited about this new blog and now that it's officially launched, I do plan to go back to posting as Padme more often.

Finally, there's a thin blue line showing above the posts section. It doesn't show up in IE - only in Firefox (go figure). If anyone can look at the code and help me get rid of that line, I'd be very grateful!

With all the new blogs: both alts and new members I am asking that if anyone includes me (Vampi and/or any of the characters that I do) in a crossover to email me and let me know please...


Not because I dont like doing a cross overs but because of the opposite.... I love doing them...
It is just that there are so many blogs now I may miss a post/crossover among the new blogs... I always try to read all updated blogs in my blogroll... when it shows a blog has a new post

However it is going to get exceedingly dificult to keep up with all the new blogs but I will try lol :P

Also I sometimes will write drafts up for several days and this gives me a chance to re-write or postpone so I can join in on the crossover... I normally do crossovers witha few others like Vegeta and we have chatted on YM about them feel free to do the same... I have ym (novy_is_novy) Skype (same name) and aim (novemberswan) : though only skype and ym is on when I am online... you cam PM from my Vami blog if you like or voice page me (skype)

Coming Soon: Last Gladiator Standing!

I wanted to do this for a while, but I also wanted to wait for the end of Big Brother: Naboo (Good job, Jar Jar; congrats Fluke). I want to do a Last Gladiator Standing "Reality Show" in the same vein as BBN and Survivor Tatooine, but I want to include more than just the Star Wars characters, I want everyone who wants to participate to get the chance.

Therefore, I have but two questions for you:

1. You want to come out and play?

2. Should I wait until summer when people (allegedly) have the time?

3. Any other thoughts? Opinions? Suggestions? Catchphrases? Favorite quotes? Shoeboxes full of dog poop?

I guess that's 8 questions.

It's time Vegeta Earned Some Recognition

As most of you know, our dear friend Vegeta blogs as several different characters and posts regularly as all of them. This constant change of character and personality molding can be very stressing and exhausting on one's mind as he has told us .Through his experiments he has found that, indeed, having more than one blog can cause personality changes, similar to mood swings. I thought it was time he earned a reward, so I nominated him for a Nobel Piece Prize.

This was said as he accepted his award:

“Vegeta has won the Nobel Peace Prize for his works in the area of the mind. His critically acclaimed book titled ‘Can you Really Develop Multiple Personalities from Writing Several Different Blogs?’ is being acknowledged as one of the great pieces of medical history of our time. Congratulations Mr. Briefs”

Vegeta then punched the presenter for addressing him as 'Mr. Briefs', gave a few words of thanks, and humbly took his seat back in the audience.
